A child is reported to be in hospital today after being struck by a car in the driveway of a house in Galway yesterday.
The shocking incident is said to have occurred in the driveway of the 16-month-old child’s home in Kilbannon, Tuam, just before 6pm on Monday evening.
The child was immediately rushed to University Hospital Galway and later transferred to Temple Street Hospital in Dublin for treatment. Reports this morning state that the child is in a “serious condition”.
