Black Friday was generally always considered an American day, but it has spread far and wide all across the globe and now we can get our hands on a few bargains as well.

While the images of people trampling over each other as they scramble into the shops might leave you thinking you’re better off out of it, there are plenty of bargains to be had without breaking your neck to get them.

Take note of these five tips and have a happy shopping experience!

1. Go online

There are plenty of bargains to be had online and this will save you the hassle of queuing in the rain. And if you’re shopping for Christmas gifts there is still plenty of time for them to arrive in the post before the big day.

2. Start now

Head on Amazon now and have at look at what you really want to get, pop it into your checkout basket and wait until the 27th November to buy them – you’re guaranteed to save some money and you’ll only buy what you actually need.

3. Concentrate on electronics

If you only have a limited amount of money or time, concentrate on the electronic items. These tend to be the best deals and sell out quickly. Go for gadgets, Blu-ray movies and video games – perfect little Christmas gifts.

4. Get up early

There is no point heading to the shops two hours before closing – all the good stuff will be gone. Start early, even if you are shopping online, and hopefully you won’t miss a good bargain. Keep in mind that most sales start at midnight or 8am but some shops are trying to pull you in by starting the day before, so do check here

5. Write a list

Sit down today and write a list of what you need and where you can get it. Think long term as well, not just Christmas; do you have any birthdays in December or other occasions to buy for? Now is the time to get them.
