Is it teething time for your little one?

On February 14th, lovers all over the world will come together for a cosy night in or a romantic meal for two.

But things are a little bit different when you have a gaggle of kids to take care of; Valentine's Day very quickly becomes all about them!

This year, why not make the day extra special with these cool ideas:

1. Leave a note on their toothbrush

They are guaranteed to see it here! And it doesn’t have to be anything too elaborate, even a simple ‘I love you’ would go down a treat – what a beautiful thing to wake up to on a Sunday morning.

2. Fill their bedroom with pink and red balloons

While they sleep, blow up a good few pink and red balloons and scatter them all over the floor. When they wake up, they’ll be delighted to see all the balloons on the floor.

3. Serve them heart-shaped pancakes

Pancake Tuesday may very well be over, but that doesn’t mean you can’t serve them on Valentine’s Day. Put them into a heart-shape and scatter a few raspberries and strawberries around to give it that romantic feel!

4. Hang heart bunting in the car

Just make sure the bunting doesn’t get in the way of you driving safely! You can either make it yourself or pick it up fairly cheaply in your local discount store.

5. Treat them to a handcrafted Valentine’s Floral Heart

Heart Children Ireland, Ireland’s leading charity for children with congenital heart disease, have teamed up with artisan florist Austen Flowers to create a limited number of handcrafted Floral Hearts in time for Valentine’s Day. The Floral Hearts will be on sale on Dublin’s South King St. on Saturday, 13th February, and cost €35 each.

6. Serve heart-shaped pizza for dinner

And you can even go one step further by placing the ham in the shape of love hearts – beautiful!

7. Host an Afternoon Tea party

Nobody can say no to mini cakes, sandwiches or scones - plus you get to enjoy the tasty treat as well!

8. Change up their normal eggs and toast!

And do this:
