As everyone knows, eating out with children in a restaurant or café can be a nightmare; from being unable to decide what they want to eat, to flinging food from a high chair, to general screaming and throwing tantrums in a packed eatery.

However, one menu designer came up a hilarious resolution to the ongoing struggle that is dining out with kids.

A restaurant in Maryland has created a hilarious kids' menu that’s not too overwhelming for children, and is relatable to the frustrated parents. The restaurant is known as Fager’s Island in Ocean City, and they certainly understand their target market.

In its "Kid Friendlies" section, its children's dishes are given very creative names, which are common phrases that fussy little eaters say at mealtime.

It translates common, petulant utterances such as "I don't know what I want" and "I'm not hungry" into meals you can order for them, making the task considerably less taxing.

An “I don’t know” is a triple layer peanut butter and jelly sandwich. An “I don’t care” is a grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich. An “I’m not hungry” is a basket of chicken tenders. An “I don’t want that” is a batch of small French fries, and a “What?” is a simple cheese quesadilla.

A picture of the menu was posted on Reddit yesterday. The post soon went viral, and people ate it up immediately! .

“You'll have a star in no time,” commented one Reddit user.

“Where's the 'Daddy drinks because I cry' drink special?” joked another.

We’re not sure how little ones will react to the irreverent menu options, but at least parents will find some humour in an otherwise exasperating experience. It might not completely eliminate the ordeal, but it should certainly help!

What do you think of the restaurant’s quirky menu? Do your kids act up when they’re out in a restaurant? If you have stories to share, let us know in the comment section!
