With Storm Doris battering the country, last night was NOT a good time to be in labour.

But as we all know babies will arrive whenever they want!

A fire brigade crew from Dolphin's Barn came to the aid of a woman last night and helped her deliver her baby safely.

According to The Irish Independent, emergency services received a call at about 8.30 p.m. last night about a woman who was in advanced stages of labour in a car in Crumlin.

The fire brigade, along with an ambulance crew from Rathfarnham rushed to the scene and the baby was born in the back of an ambulance.

Mum and baby were then taken to The Coombe hospital.

They will be very grateful to the crews for their amazing work.
