There's little doubt that the events which unfolded in the French capital on Friday night have affected each and every one of us.

And while we can openly express our disbelief and sorrow, news anchors and reporters are forced to maintain a stoic expression while communicating the latest developments in a story which has understandably garnered worldwide attention.

There are, however, times when a broadcaster's professional mask may slip, offering viewers a glimpse at the real individual behind the news desk or in front of the TV camera.

BBC viewers were today given an insight into the impact reporting on Friday's events have had on news teams across the world when they tuned into see BBC reporter, Graham Satchell, update the public on developments in the European city.

Describing the prevailing mood across the capital, Graham was unable to continue with the report such was the extent of his emotion following the weekend's horror.
