Beat those Winter Blues with Netflix

The Christmas festivities are now over, which means it’s time for New Year’s resolutions, re-evaluating our finances and staying in on those long, cold nights. But January doesn’t need to be gloomy…it’ also the perfect time for you and your family to escape with an exciting film, or get stuck into a great new TV show – and Netflix has plenty to choose from!

We want to know what you’ll be watching on Netflix to beat the January blues. Are you enjoying the quirky police comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine? Perhaps you’re catching up on House of Cards in preparation for season 3 in February? Maybe you’ll be indulging in an episode of Breaking Bad?

We’d also like to know what your kids love watching on Netflix. Are the little ones obsessed with Spongebob Squarepants? Do they wind down before bed with a Disney film like Toy Story 3 or Brave? Or maybe your teenager is hooked on Gossip Girl? Whatever it is, we’d love to hear about it!

Tell us how your family will be using Netflix to beat the Winter blues, and be in with a chance to win a Playstation 4 and 1 year Netflix subscription.

Am looking forwad to starting a new box set, haven't decided which yet, have just finished Breaking Bad. Also really want to see The Hunger Games, Catching Fire - it'll take some convicing of the other half though, as he's not a fan, he likes the documentaries on Netflix.

Nothing quite like snuggling up on the sofa and watchin a movie with the kids and we do so ever weekend, especially in January. Brave and A Bugs Life are the current faves.

My sister keep recommending Pretty Little Liars, but I'm not sure ... I might give it a go. I love The Good Wife and Suits. The kids love their movies and have been watching the Lego one, Disney's Three Muskateers and The Muppet Movie.

DS loves Power Ranges (and there are tonnes of epidsodes, so he is never short of something to entertain him. And I'm currently hooked on Merlin!!
Have to say it's great having Netflix, brilliant value for money - one cinema trip for two people (with goodies and paying for babysitter) would cover the cost for a few months :) There's always something to watch and the kids love it,.

I watched Stephen Fry 'More Fool Me' this weekend, it was really enjoyable. He's such an interesting person and so very entertaining with it.

I'll be watching Breaking Bad. I've been threatening to watch it for months. And now, with horrid weather, the best thing you can do at the weekend is snuggle up on the sofa with a great box set.

I haven't had a chance yet to sit down and select my January viewing, but I really want to see Brooklly Nine Nine, I've seen the trailers and it looks brilliant. The kids absolutely love Toy Story and Monsters Inc, so for now it's repeats of them. Good stuff Netflix, keeping our family sane during the dullness that is January.

The kids are dying to see Aladdin - I think it's out at the end of the month. And mummy has season 5 of The Good Wife in her sights! Yay for January cold dark evenings ... any excuse to chill out on the sofa.

I'm really working on beating those winter blues ... tho I'm definitely watching for a bit of an auld stretch in the day ha ha. In the meantime I'm busying myself with what's coming on Netflix ... Postman Pat is huge in our house at the moment. I remember watching it as a kid, so it's a great throwback.
When I do eventually get a moment to myself at the weekend, I'll be watching Les Miserables ... been looking forward to it for ages.

Between the kids and DH I'm not sure when I'll get a look in LOL
The kids found out at the weekend that The Adventures of Puss in Boots was out, so that'll be on repeat all this week. DH wants to see The Fighter ... tho it has Mark Wahlberg so I don't think it'll be that hard for me to watch LOL. I think that's out this week. For me it's got to be The Thick of It, been meaning to watch it for ages.

I've been trying to watch Lilyhammer for ages now, but keep getting interrupted - that's kids I guess!! But now that the kids have their new Xbox they are allowed to watch their shows on Netflix with that. And mummy gets to keep her TV all to herself! Woo hoo - Lilyhammer here I come!!

shelliebob, my kids have also pencilled in Aladdin when it comes out. It's funny how they know about it before I do.
