Beat those Winter Blues with Netflix

The Christmas festivities are now over, which means it’s time for New Year’s resolutions, re-evaluating our finances and staying in on those long, cold nights. But January doesn’t need to be gloomy…it’ also the perfect time for you and your family to escape with an exciting film, or get stuck into a great new TV show – and Netflix has plenty to choose from!

We want to know what you’ll be watching on Netflix to beat the January blues. Are you enjoying the quirky police comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine? Perhaps you’re catching up on House of Cards in preparation for season 3 in February? Maybe you’ll be indulging in an episode of Breaking Bad?

We’d also like to know what your kids love watching on Netflix. Are the little ones obsessed with Spongebob Squarepants? Do they wind down before bed with a Disney film like Toy Story 3 or Brave? Or maybe your teenager is hooked on Gossip Girl? Whatever it is, we’d love to hear about it!

Tell us how your family will be using Netflix to beat the Winter blues, and be in with a chance to win a Playstation 4 and 1 year Netflix subscription.

Hi my name is Charmagne and I beat the winter blues by catching up on box sets in the evenings when the kids are asleep. I also put on cartoons to keep the kids entertained, they love them.we are on a tight budgets so Netflix is so handy to have, plus everything I like is there on demand.

My 2 little ladies are still revelling in Christmas spirit so love watching Santa Paws still. They also love team umi Zoomi and Yo gabba gabba. Me and their Dad are cosying up in the evenings with Homeland and eying up House of Cards next. We love netflix in this house. We wouldn't be without it.

to be honest we dont watch netflix, we dont watch TV at all due to its terrible shows
We are working on tight budget llike many other families that is why any tv subscriptions arent on our necessity list. Also we dont have much time as we have small baby at home and out laptop is in dying condition :-)
We love watching "the good wife", "the originals" "the 100", the orange is new black, but my child have limited amount of telly due to boring cartoons.
so I am being honest and wont be buttering up saying lovely things about netflix as I dont know what is it like to have it, but might be fun.

We're new to Netflix (2 days) and only because the bad weather thrashed our satelite, as we discovered on Tuesday night!. Thanks to Santa and a lot of saving :-), we got a smart tv which I remembered had the netflix app, so I signed up for the month's trial. I really like that you can set up each family member as a seperate user and define what you like and suggestions are made based on what you've previously watched. As a mum, I like that I have control over what is suggested for my children and what they can watch. What we're really looking forward to is family move night, at €7.99 a month, it will be a lot cheaper than renting a movie or going to the cinema. We'll give the months trail a go and look at our satelite subscription after that. We don't watch a lot of tv, so we could get rid of our satelite monthly subscription and save the family some money.

I'm due on maternity leave soon so I will be spending a lot of time on the couch feeding the baby. Looking foward to finally watching house of cards and marco polo though I'm sure i won't ever get to watch an episode in full but at least I can go back and finish them when I want!
