Many pregnant women are nervous about flying, even when their due date is months away. We’ve heard several stories of emergency landings for women who went into labour while on a plane but this story is even more dramatic.

A little girl made an early entrance to the world when she was born on a plane flying from Guinea to Burkina Faso.

Mum Nafi Diaby went into labour suddenly on Friday April 7 and the amazing cabin crew helped to deliver a baby girl named Kadiju.Luckily the little girl was delivered safely, as the cabin crew on board the Turkish Airlines flight pulled together to help the mum.

Both mum and baby were fine, despite nature of the birth, and when the Boeing 737-900 aircraft landed in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, they were taken to hospital straight away.

Turkish Airlines shared some photos of the cabin crew with the baby on their social media channels. They also put up an adorable illustration of a Turkish Airlines plane with a carrying a baby in the manner of a stork.

Turkish Airlines' Ouagadougou station officials later reported mother and baby were doing well.

This amazing news comes after a woman gave birth in a military helicopter as she was rescued from torrential floods which killed dozens of people on Tuesday, according to The Mirror.

Mum Maria Pingo, was stranded and unable to get to a hospital by herself. The brave mum gave birth to a healthy baby girl in a Peruvian Air Force helicopter moments after she was picked up.

It’s really incredible how nature takes over in these situations.

Well done to the cabin crew for helping deliver the little one safely, we think they are incredible. Little Kadiju certainly won’t grow up with a fear of flying after this…
