Three-year-old Liam Turner died yesterday afternoon in a tragic accident while he was playing outside with his sister.

According to reports, Liam was playing outside the family home in Norfolk when he was tragically hit by a car being reversed by his mum, Lindsey.

After the tragic incident occurred, the little boy’s father picked him up and drove to the nearest hospital, flagging down an ambulance on the way.

The youngster was then taken by air to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, where he sadly passed away yesterday evening.

Speaking to the BBC, Faye Hardman, a family friend, said: “[Lindsey] is devastated, she is blaming herself, she just said that she loves him, that he was Mummy's little soldier. She is just so sorry. It was such an awful, tragic accident. He was such a beautiful boy, full of smiles and chatty. He was perfect.”

Norfolk Police have said they are investigating the tragic incident but have not arrested anyone in connection with little Liam’s death.

Our thoughts go out to the family at this awful time.
