A recording of the call a five-year-old little girl made which saved her mum’s life has been released today.

When Sienna Adderley’s mum Katie fell unconscious at their UK home last Thursday morning, the little girl recalled what she had been taught and proceeded to ring the emergency services.

After dialling 999 and getting through to an operator over the phone, Sienna went on to describe how Katie had fallen to the floor and was not moving.

In the recording released of the call, Sienna is heard calmly relaying the information while the operator organises an ambulance.

In an admission that makes this story all the more amazing, Sienna further tells the operator that she is unable to reach the door, informing them in advance of the setup in her home.

Thanks to what authorities are calling her “tremendous courage”, ambulance staff were able to get into the home and treat Katie at the scene.

PC James Graham, who attended the scene, said: “The caller was five-year-old Sienna reporting her mum was ill. That in itself is amazing, but she also stayed on the line while checking her mum and looking after her younger brother.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of such bravery and quick-thinking from a young child, with a young boy coming to his mum’s aid through Facetime.
