It has been confirmed that all schools in Leinster and Munster will remain closed tomorrow and Friday.
Met Éireann has issued a red weather alert for both provinces, with ‘blizzard-like’ conditions forecasted.

“Blizzard-like conditions will develop in heavy snow and strong easterly winds on Thursday evening and will continue Thursday night and Friday morning giving significant snow drifts in many areas,” Met Éireann stated.
