Lucy Morris was not going to let anything take away from her sister’s big day – including her bridesmaid going into labour.
On the day of her sister’s wedding, Lucy was a week overdue and started to feel contractions early in the morning, but did not say anything until the ceremony and photos were done.
During the wedding reception, the contractions became too much for the new mum, and she was taken to hospital where she gave birth to daughter Izzy.
Explaining why she kept mum, Lucy said: “I wanted to watch my sister say ‘I do’ and I didn’t want to steal the limelight by giving birth. I don’t know how I made it through the ceremony, I was in agony. I just kept praying my waters wouldn’t break before they exchanged their vows.”
