The Children's Rights Alliance have asserted that the greatest victims of the recent recession is our society's children.

The alliance, who attempt to ensure and protect the rights of children in laws, policies and services, will be launching its annual report card today.

Contained within the report is an assessment of the Government's performance regarding issues which affect children. This assessment will be compared to commitments previously made in the Programme for Government.

In addition to urging the Government to uphold international obligations and ensure children's rights are met, the Children's Rights Alliance, which unites over 100 members, will also highlight key areas which need urgent improvement as well as offering recommendations in this regard.
