According to one outraged mum, a number of families were left horrified after they sat down in a cinema auditorium to check out Disney Pixar’s latest offering, Inside Out, only for a horror film to mistakenly start playing on the screen instead.
As parents waited for the animated family fun to begin, they were left shocked when scenes from Insidious: Chapter 3 began to flash up instead. Insidious: Chapter 3 tells the story of a psychic who connects with the dead to help a teenage girl.
One mum who was in the audience with her children, Jazmyn Moore, took to her social media channels to blast Danberry Cinemas in Middleton, Ohio for the move, which she claims has left her children traumatised.
“I got our money back but the damage is already done…my children are terrified and keep asking questions,” she wrote.
The theatre has since admitted that the move was a huge mistake, and the manager has apologised publicly to all those who were affected.
What a nightmare situation. Let’s hope that the experience doesn’t leave any lasting damage for these children.
