It’s alarming that, in a world where civilisation appears to be so advanced, mothers are shamed and even abused for breastfeeding their babies in public.
The entire concept of shaming a woman for doing the most natural thing in the world is ridiculous, and this has been summed up oh-so perfectly by a father in the US.
Brock Smith recently took to Facebook to share a video he created, showing up breastfeeding shaming for how silly it really is.
“As a dad and a husband…I’ve had enough of this asinine argument. D Lauren Smith and I are starting a movement…Just sayin’…,” he wrote.
He then shared a brilliant 20-second-long piece of footage in which he mimicked a baby who has to breastfeed under a towel.
“I wish I didn’t have to eat with a blanket over my head. Maybe I should just go sit in the toilet?” he asks, as he tries in vain to locate his food and drink and then bring them to his mouth.
As you can imagine, the internet has gone crazy for the video, which has racked up thousands of views and shares since going live.
This should be required viewing for everyone.
