I grew up using different Dettol products, but I have never used the kitchen and bathroom cleaning products. So the neat little parcel arrived...
I firstly used the kitchen product, I used the spray to clean the counter tops and kitchen sink and it worked beautifully. I then proceeded to use the wipes to clean the fridge door and it removed the little finger marks really nicely. Over the week I found myself reaching for the spray rather than the wipes though as I find it is easier to use the spray and the cleaning cloth to clean the counter tops and table in the kitchen. I also used the wipes to wipe the stove top when something spilled and it is really handy for that.
Using the bathroom spray was really great in the bath and shower, I managed to clean the areas effortlessly. The wipes are great for the kitchen sink and the toilet seat and top as the areas are small and easy to wipe and then disposing of the wipes is easy and hygienic compared to using the spray and cloth. I really do love the smell of the bathroom once I have cleaned with Dettol Power and Pure.
I found the Dettol Power and Pure range easy to use, the smell is refreshing and then one has the added benefit of the hygiene aspect.
I used the Power and Pure kitchen wipes on the counter tops after working with jam and caramel when I baked cakes last week and it removed the blobs without effort. I also used the spray and cloth to clean the tiles above the stove and it worked wonderfully on the splashes after cooking and especially after frying fish.
I will definitely recommend using the spray in the kitchen range as I found using it easier than using the wipes due to the size of the counter tops. I would recommend both the spray and the wipes for the bathroom as I found the spray great for the larger areas and the wipes are hygienic and easy to use on the toilet seat and the outer areas of the toilet and bathroom sink.
So good on Dettol for bringing out a really great, easy to use and refreshing smelling range for both the kitchen and bathroom!

I was already a Dettol multi surface spray user so was delighted to be picked to review these new products.
Firstly the Dettol Power and Pure Kitchen Wipes. The initial smell was nice, not too overpowering and I was happy to use them on food surfaces. They were REALLY effective on the UPVC window and door frames - so maybe just rebrand them and sell them as specialist wipes for these areas. No residue and I could clean quite a large area with one wipe. Disappointment - the 'after smell'..... they left a really nasty smell for quite a while in the kitchen. Would I buy them - sorry no.
Dettol Power and Pure Kitchen Spray. I preferred this to the wipes, purely because I found it easier to get into difficult areas like around the taps. A very mild smell which I prefer in the kitchen and around food prep areas. This product left no residue for streaks and worked really well on my cooker top and tiles. Disappointment - again the 'after smell'..... it left a really nasty smell that even my teenage son commented on. Would I buy it - sorry no.
Dettol Power and Pure Bathroom wipes. I use disinfectant wipes all the time in my bathroom as the walls are all tiled I find them the best way of having a quick clean around, so this is where I started. Very effective and cleaned a large area with one wipe. Nice initial smell but not as strong I would like in the bathroom. Unlike the kitchen I prefer the bathroom to smell clean afterwards. No residue or streaks which is good on white tiles & they were brilliant on the shower base at cleaning shampoo scum. Unfortunately I was really let down by the smell from my tiles after a short while... the only way to describe it would be mild tom cats.....Would I buy them - no.

With very little wiping & hot water from the shower head the streaks and dried in shampoo on the tiles just melted away. I also used it around the toilet bowl - I was impressed. But again I was really let down by the nasty after-smell. Would I buy it - no.
I have read some of the other reviews and think I was either sent a dodgy batch, or I was testing a different product. I would use all of these outside the house and plan on cleaning the outside window frames & hub caps of the car, but I would not use them in my kitchen or bathroom again. I was very disappointed as a long-time Dettol user. I now see the products advertised on TV and my daughter even commented that she couldn't believe Dettol would release these. Sorry Dettol.

I had heard about the new dettol "power & pure" range before but hadnt tried it, i did try some of the dettol range before and didnt like the smell of it.
I found the kitchen spray cleaner brilliant, it was very effiective and removed dirt and grease easily with out any scrubbing. I liked the wipes for quick wipe ups like my daughters highchair and found them brilliant on my press doors i have cream doors and find them very hard to keep clean and some cleaners leave residue behind but the wipes were brilliant on them. I mush preffered the spray for larger areas but did like the convinence of the wipes.
Again i liked the bathroom spray cleaner found it great for getting soap scum & toothapaste off the basins. I liked the wipes for wiping around toliet and found them good but much prefer the spray as the wipes are quite small and it would take a good few of them to clean the my abthroom, ensuite and downstairs toliet and cost a lot more than the spray.
I have dermatitis on my hands and most cleaners would casue my hands to flare up and become sore if i wasnt using gloves where as the dettol "pure & power" range didnt.
I feel that the dettol brand is synonymous with good hygiene, cleanliness and care in the home.
I would buy both the sprays and wipes again, i found the sprays very good, smelt lovely and werent harsh on my hands and the kitchen wipes were great fro my press doors and the bathroom wipes handy to have for celaning the toilet seats i have 2 boys with very bad aim lol

I had not used these products before, but I am glad to have the chance to do the trial.
I loved the kitchen spray I tried it on my stainless steel deep fat fryer, that I was about to throw out as it never looked clean, it is now spotless, with not smears. My Husband thought I had bought a new one. The kitchen spray was great on all surfaces. I used the wipes mostly on my little ones high chair they left it loooking and smelling clean. The scent of the spray i did not like.
The bathroom spray was equally good on sinks, baths and taps. I did not find it good on shower doors. I used the wipes on toilets and they were so easy to use and disposable. Its a pity they can not be flushed. Again I did not like the scent of the spray.
I always use gloves so I can not say if the products are kind to skin. I prefered the kitchen spray for cleaning all surfaces and cleaning tough stains. The Dettol brand is synonymous with hygiene, cleanliness in the home. I have already told my friend about the products, and I will be buying the kitchen spray and bathroom spray and wipes again.

I have used Dettol products before and still have them in my cleaning cupboard.
I really like the Dettol Power & Pure Multi-Purpose Kitchen Spray. It cleaned tough grease away nicely as well as baking and cooking dirt. The smell is ok but could be improved and when I cleaned without gloves it left my hands feeling as the did before using the spray, like no harsh chemicals are used. This was the same for all four poducts. The wipes are handy and are nearly as effective as the spray, I found that for some stains the spray was a bit more effective as I could spray the surface and let it sit for awhile and the wipe the stain off. The wipes didn't appear to be as effective in this situation.
I prefer the spray as it allows me to be be in control of how much product I use and that it can be left to work on the grease until I decide to wipe down the surface.
The Dettol Power & Pure Bathroom spray works really well and it leaves the surfaces sparkly clean. I would prefer if the spray could spray out more like the kitchen spray, this could be hard to achieve I suppose as the bathroom spray is more soapy than the kitchen spray. However, I do find the spray really effective.
The wipes worked great for cleaning the shower door, bye bye limescale! They are also great for cleaning the floor tiles in our small bathroom, and I really liked the squeaky clean feeling on them.
I don't have a preference of one product as I can see different uses for the spray and the wipes. They complement each other.
Yes, using the Power & Pure range has been and is a pleasent experience as I found that the products delivered on removing tough stains, leaving no harsh residue and I didn't need to wear gloves whilst cleaning.

My mum always used Dettol as a child so I'm really familiar with it and really love the Dettol smell - for me, it means a clean house.
Our kitchen stove is a pain to clean so it's why I was so interested in doing this trial as I'm always on the look out for products that work. I also don't like (never have time to find) rubber gloves so being kind and gentle on my hands is important to me.
I used the spray on the stove and it worked brilliantly. I loved the smell both before and after use - I read someone else said they didn't like the smell afterwards but I consider that a 'cleaning' smell which is a good thing. I liked it alot! I had made lasagne for the family so the stove was covered in well cooked bolognese sauce and white sauce too. I was tired after the dinner so I didn't clean it until the next day. I sprayed on the spray, was distracted by the kids for a minute, and then turned to wipe it away and it worked like magic. Easy.
I cannot stand dirty dishcloths - what they harbour scares the life out of me which means I wash them every day after their day of use (I know, I'm probably crazy). I had never considered buying or using wipes before though as a way to avoid dirty dishcloths. So I was happy to try them. I found them great and really handy for quick cleaning of surfaces. I'd definitely use them again in this way - quick spills, quick wipe downs after art/painting on the kitchen table etc.
I like a clean bathroom and was using another spray for that job. I sprayed the spray on the tiles in the shower which get very grubby with the water and left it while I cleaned the sink and toilet - the bathroom spray didn't disappoint and I think it left the sink shinier than normal (is that possible?). I returned to the shower and my tiles did need a bit of a scrub but afterwards were cleaner than normal. Maybe I was more focussed but the tiles were also more shiny than normal. I really liked the smell after cleaning the bathroom too.
I kept the wipes for the emergency accidents that happen frequently in our bathroom - I used them to clean the seat, under it and around the base of the loo after my little ones have little miss accidents. I found them really handy for this.
All in all, I found the products great - I really like the spray for day to day cleaning but think the wipes are a great handy thing to have in the cleaning press or under the sink in the loo.
I will definitely buy both again and have told my sisters about them too - anything that makes cleaning the loo easier can't be a bad thing.

I usually tackle the job with a creamy product which I've since discovered is actually more work than using a spray. I used it because my mum always used it in her house. I used to apply the cream, rub alot, rinse down and then buff. So I was very happy with the Dettol power & pure spray as it was far faster and it left my sink and toilet gleaming without any residue at all which is often the case with the other creamy cleaner. So big thumbs up there - I really liked the smell both when I was using it and when I was finished. It mad the bathroom smell very fresh. Like another user, I used the wipes for emergencies and found them really good. They aren't too wet which I've found with other wipes and yet still gets the job done. I think I'll use them for the toilet from now on as they will avoid having a cloth in the house for the loo.
I clean the kitchen alot during the day but generally only use spray once a day to give it a good clean after the kids are gone to bed as I don't like spraying when they are around. I also tried the wipes and found them handy to have for quick jobs/clean ups. I used them on the press doors and they came up really clean afterwards and had a shiny look to them. I also used them on the inside of the fridge and found them handy for getting into the corners and awkward spots.

Thanks for letting me try this out, I’ve always used Dettol in the house, but I’m always generally slow to try new products in case i don’t like them.
I tried to 2 kitchen products first, the wipes and spray.
The kitchen wipes are an absolute godsend, they seriously clean. I’ve read some of the other reviews here saying they’re very wet, but to be honest, they are the same as any other wipes I’ve used, only difference is, these actually smell gorgeous, and there is nothing they don’t clean. Also, I really hate when wipes dry out, they’re no better than a piece of tissue, so better to have them moist IMO.
The kitchen spray was really good too, and I found was really good for a proper clean – I don't always have time to get a dishcloth out every day, but when I did, this was brilliant. Great smell, really good at cleaning. Easy on hands. And no residue. Brilliant.
On to the bathroom products, wipes and spray.
The wipes are just brilliant for the bathroom. So hygienic, easy to use, really quick, no residue. If there is one job I can say with confidence that I hate doing, it’s the bathroom. With the wipes, it’s made so much easier and faster. And the fact that I can throw the wipes away after, is perfect. I don’t have to worry about germs etc.
The bathroom spray is really good for a deep clean, it really made a difference on the shower and bath, which are always grubby (probably down to the fact that I don’t do a proper clean on them, often enough!!). I could use the spray everywhere, and on the tiles too, there is no streaking or residue left. Lovely shiny bathrooms, and lovely fresh smell.
I think I’d buy both products again, but if I were to choose one that would best suit my lifestyle, it would be the wipes for both bathroom and kitchen. They are just so handy to have, and the fact that they clean everything, even stubborn stuff from cooking (even the greasy stuff) and the general day to day muckiness left behind from 2 mucky kiddies and 1 mucky dog (not to mention the mucky hubby!!) - they’re just brilliant. It’s also great not to have to wear gloves and know that my hands won’t fall apart from using them. Good stuff Dettol.

I tried the sprays first – and was really impressed. I normally buy whatever is on special in the shop to be honest, and it’s a bit hit and miss. Getting a genuinely good product to use makes such a difference though. I guess that's a lesson learned I suppose.
I love the proper clean a spray does, and it’s so important in the kitchen. It’s where everyone gathers in my house, for food, for chats, for homework, for parties, it really is the centre of the house. So it’s in constant use and constantly needing cleaning. I used the spray on all surfaces and it was brilliant – cleaned the hob without streaks and wasn’t put off by dried in spag bol (thanks to my not so good at cleaning up after himself, teenage son). Result.
I did like the kitchen wipes, and for a quick clean they were incredibly good. Super handy to have in the press, especially for emergency cleans etc. I do prefer a spray though, but I think that’s just me. I’ll still buy the wipes, I’ve never bought any wipes before, but I can see why you need them. They’re also really handy for a quick dust of the shelves and press doors. I’m converted.
The wipes for the bathroom, now this is where I was really converted. We always do a weekend clean in the house from top to bottom (I know, it’s very exciting, but it has to be done) and so during the week, if I feel the bathroom is getting a bit dusty, and in need of a freshening up, the wipes are so unbelievably handy. I have them in the press under the sink in the bathroom, so easy to use, no streaks and then just throw them out after. You are literally done in seconds. Clean, fresh, hygienic. Perfect.
Although I loved the wipes, the spray for the bathroom, was tops for me. It’s got a gorgeous smell, it’s really clean and effective. No streaks, no residue, and everything was gleaming. Toilets, sinks, tiles, bathroom, shower (including shower door), shelves and doors. Everything was shiny and clean. I actually enjoyed using it.
I will definitely buy both again, and I will think twice about buying an alternative just because they are on offer. The dettol sprays are brilliant. And I’m totally converted to wipes. I never really saw the need before, or at least that’s what I thought. Not sure what I did without them now.

I love the proper clean a spray does, and it’s so important in the kitchen. It’s where everyone gathers in my house, for food, for chats, for homework, for parties, it really is the centre of the house. So it’s in constant use and constantly needing cleaning. I used the spray on all surfaces and it was brilliant – cleaned the hob without streaks and wasn’t put off by dried in spag bol (thanks to my not so good at cleaning up after himself, teenage son). Result.
I did like the kitchen wipes, and for a quick clean they were incredibly good. Super handy to have in the press, especially for emergency cleans etc. I do prefer a spray though, but I think that’s just me. I’ll still buy the wipes, I’ve never bought any wipes before, but I can see why you need them. They’re also really handy for a quick dust of the shelves and press doors. I’m converted.

Dettol Power and Pure product trial feedback

I knew the Dettol brand before and had used there products. I have to say that I found both the Kitchen spray and wipes very effective for different areas. The spray is great for counter tops, hobs and sink and taps. removed all grease from the hob no problem minimal scrubbing. I found the wipes so handy for fridge door, cabinet doors and backsplash tiles. I think I used both products equally for different reasons. I must add that the smell is a big improvement. Everything was left shining with no residue marks. I found both products so good, the wipes especially are handy for quick jobs and spills, and with 2 small boys there can be alot! I also used the wipes for the upvc part of my windows and doors and I don't think they have ever been as shiny! I personally would buy the wipes but that is for conveineance of use.

Hello Mums,
I got the Dettol products on my wedding anniversary much to my husbands amusement. I had more or less ignored the cleaning for a day or two in anticipation of their arrival to really give them a good road testing :)
I had used Dettol before but I had abandoned it in favour of other products on the market a good while back.
I opened the wipes first as I was intrigued. I was always under the impression that wipes were what hopeful mums would buy their student sons in the vague hope they might clean something. I have never previously used them. The first note was a negative one- the packaging says the wipes are 'Large' but I don't actually consider them large at all. They are pretty average sized- but that may just be me being critical.
So the Kitchen wipes were given the task of the over door which was fairly greasy. The wipes are sturdy and strong and smell surprisingly nice (before use as opposed to after). They did an admirable job! They removed grease, didn't leave any residue and didn't fall apart. I was impressed.
The bathroom wipes were first used for the shower door and once again- same observations. The door was clean and without residue. I like the idea of the bathroom wipes as they are very hygenic for cleaning the toilet as they are disposable.
For the past two weeks I have been using the wipes for everything and they haven't failed me and are very handy to have around. That being said I doubt I would buy the kitchen wipes again as I am constantly wiping down the kitchen surfaces and a cloth and a spray suit me better.
The kitchen spray is my new best friend. I have sensative skin but it didn't do it any harm what so ever and the spray itself is brilliant on grease, mud, paint, dried up food and every other thing my children spilled all over the kitchen. It smells nice too and I was really impressed. It's great for polishing the sink too and leaves it all shiny with no residue. I couldn't fault it. It's a large bottle too and a little goes a long way and yup- it IS on my shopping list from now on.
The bathroom spray is also brilliant and handled any job I threw at in including the dreaded bath tide marks from muddy children. I also feel better about using this product as there are no harsh chemicals in it as is the case with a lot of bathroom cleaners. A little goes a long way and i would buy this again without hesitation.
I think Dettol have done a great job here with these products apart from the size of the wipes. Dettol have always had a good reputation for hygeine and now it's hygeine which is without the harsh chemicles or the strong smell I closely used to associate with their products. I would recommend them to any Mom out there and even go as far as to pop a pack of wipes into the car or the college student's kitchen and bathroom :D

I knew the brand & I have used Dettol before I liked the product but felt it had a very strong smell
I loved the smell of the kitchen spray and 2 of my friends also commented on the lovely smell in the kitchen when they visited
Spray was great for removing stains off the counter , even curry one day
The wipes where great used them for cleaning my little girls potty down and on smalled items around the house
The bathroom spray was great , found it lifted soap right off the taps with little effort and left the sink and bath sparkiling
was great tha i didnt have to wear gloves and was mild for my little girl as she often sits on the counter and talks to me while i am washing the dishes
I would purchase all 4 items again , thanks to dettol and mummy pages for letting me test this great product

I am very familiar with the Dettol brand and have always used the kitchen sprays. I found the Power and Pure Multi purpose kitchen spray very effective but mostly I was very impressed with the shiny finish on my black granite countertops. I have always found it difficult to get the coutner tops shiny but this left them really clean. I would the kitchen wipes very handy for quick spills but I would not use them for a full clean down at the end of the day. I feel that the two products have different uses, I would def prefer the spray for a full clean but I always spray leave and wipe as I have been told the spray needs two minutes to be effective at eliminating germs. The wipes are very convenient for a quick wipe but also very convenient to have in your handbag for a quick wipe down if out and about in restaurants etc - I know mad but I do tend to do it esp in fast food places as kids tend to let their food go onto the table. I would buy both again but in particular the spray will now be my spray of choice for the shine on my counters. Only downside is that I like the clean smell as this is almost fragrance free.

I wa aware of the brand before and have use other Detol products
I found the spray worked great, I have a cat that walks on the counter and who knows where else at night so I would wipe down the counter everytime I prepare food. I found it could be use everywhere I needed it and removed what I waned it to remoe. The smell was different but not bad.
I have used the wipes before but not that type. I find them very handy for wiping down the counter, sink and table without having to find a wash cloth. They cleaned everything great but wore away very quickly so not good on rough surfaces like the grout between the tiles etc.
It would depend on the task which one I would prefer but I liked the wipes a lot
