Devastating news has emerged from Alaska this afternoon, after police in Fairbanks found the bodies of four ‘family’ members in a hotel room.

The bodies have been identified as those of Linda Hutton, 54; McKay Hutton, 22; Emily McDonald, 22; and eight-week-old baby girl Teagan Hutton.

According to the New York Daily News, the incident is being treated by local police as a murder-suicide.

The incident is said to have occurred yesterday, Friday, at the Hampton Inn hotel in Fairbanks.

Police responding to an emergency call came upon a crying man on the hotel’s second floor. The as yet unidentified man led the officers to a nearby room, where they discovered the bodies.

It is understood that all four victims died from gunshot wounds.

An investigating police officer confirmed the tragic discovery, telling local media representatives: “All we can say is that it’s a family.”

Although police have not yet confirmed the relationship between all four people, Facebook lists Emily McDonald as the wife of McKay Hutton. Teagan, meanwhile, appears to be Emily’s daughter.

This is a truly devastating story, and we are thinking of all those affected by the tragedy.
