Author Emma Hannigan revealed two weeks ago that she does not have much time left to live after an 11 year battle with cancer.

The mum-of-two decided to take the subsequent messages of love she was receiving and use that good-will to help others struggling with the disease.

"If you would like to make a difference to cancer care and help create new cures I’d love it if you could text CURE to 50300," the Letters to my Daughters author asked her supporters.

Now, the 45-year-old has shared some heartwarming news: "Our €100,000 goal has been reached.

"It's never too late to dream big, keep dreaming. Thank you so much, please keep those donations coming in and don't stop until we reach the top #HelpEmmaHelpOthers," Emma wrote on social media.

We so admire her inspirational message to keep helping others. These donations are going to Breast Cancer Ireland (BCI) 'so that less families have to face losing a loved one'.

Dubray Books is donating profits from her latest book, Letters to my Daughters, to the BCI as well. As of February 27, Emma's book is still in the number one spot at the Irish bookstore.

After running out of stock, the store tweeted on Tuesday that they have copies of the book again, writing, "#letterstomydaughters is back in stock and sitting in our No 1 spot! All profits going to @BreastCancerIre in honour of the wonderful @MsEmmaHannigan."

Thank you to everyone who has generously donated to this cause and Emma, who is using her love to help others.
