The balloon-in-a-box gender reveal has become particularly popular in recent years, and it’s one of the most charming ways of finding out your little one’s sex.
Clearly, US couple Joe and Leela Krummel agree – but, sadly, they were left highly disappointed at their recent baby celebrations.
After receiving an envelope from the hospital containing their second child’s sex, the Krummels put in an order with a local store for a balloon box and waited excitedly for its arrival.
The Krummels arranged to open the box at a gender reveal party in their home and, on the day, their friends gathered around to see whether blue or pink balloons would float out into the world.
To say the big reveal didn’t go to plan was an understatement, though - look at what happened:
Yep, the store employees clearly misread the memo and delivered a boxful of MULTI-COLOURED balloons!
While Joe and Leela were clearly upset, hope was not yet dead!
After a little examination of the box, a friend discovered an envelope containing Baby Krummel’s sex and, using decorations from around the house, the parents-to-be did it all over again – this time with very different results.
