A dad in Louisville, Kentucky was left flabbergasted after he discovered his ten-year-old daughter had been lying about her age online, claiming in some cases to be upwards of 17-years-old, and had began dating boys, which is strictly against house rules.The quick-thinking dad sprung into action immediately and forced his daughter Janiya to wear a t-shirt identifying her as the ten-year old she actually is, no matter what her 5 foot 9 height may suggest. Janiya was also forced to wear hair clips and a Sofia the First backpack to school, much to the outrage of the mortified schoolgirl.
Janiya’s father Kevin Jones didn’t stop there though. Determined that there be no confusion about his daughter’s age, he took to Facebook to reveal what the young girl had been up to and stood firm in his decision to send Janiya to school in an outfit many pre-teens would balk at.
Poor Janiya not only has to cope with her schoolmates and teachers knowing of her deception, but also the quarter of a million people who have since ‘liked’ Kevin’s Facebook post and applauded his parenting skills.
