What you will need
  • Paper
  • Marker
  • Scissors
  • Straws
  • Paper bowls or Small plastic bowls

The idea of this game, is that each player will ‘suck’ up the paper ghosts using straws, and the person with the most paper ghosts at the end wins.

How to play
  1. Fill up your paper with drawings of ghost shapes - keep them about 5cm in height and 3cm in width. Do as many as you can, depending on how many kids you have playing.
  2. Cut each ghost shape out, they don't have to be perfect.
  3. Spread your ghost cut outs on the ground. If the kids playing are young, keep the ghosts relatively near their bowls.
  4. Each child is given a paper bowl, which remains on the table.
  5. Each child is then given a straw.
  6. On the count of 3, every child must try and suck up as many paper ghosts as possible using their straws only.  They must continue sucking the straw in order to lift the ghost over to their bowl, where they must drop their paper ghost in.
  7. When all ghosts have been collected, stop the game, and everyone must count how many ghosts they have in their bowl.
  8. The player with the most ghosts is the winner
