Gardaí have this weekend confirmed that Paige Holland and her newborn daughter Nevaeh, who were reported missing last week, have been ‘found safe and well’.

They had previously expressed concern for the welfare of the 23-year-old, who is originally from the UK, and her little one.

In an official update on the gardaí’s official Facebook page, a representative wrote: “Mother and baby found safe and well. Thank you to the public and the media for all the assistance. Please respect their privacy at this time.”

It is reported that the mother and child were located in Co. Tipperary.

Ms Holland reportedly broke her silence earlier this week, telling the Irish Sun that she and her child were safe and well, and that concerns for her whereabouts may have been prompted by social services in the UK.

Gardaí, however, continued to issue appeals for information as to the pair’s whereabouts, and they revealed yesterday that they were working with TUSLA, the mother and child agency, to locate them.

The latest garda statement is very welcome news, and we wish Ms Holland and her little one all the best going forward.
