An 11-year-old schoolgirl who felt compelled to prove a point to her parents decided to take an IQ test in a move which has now secured her a place among the world's top brains.

Kashmea Wahi, who was born in Mumbai but now lives in the UK, achieved the top possible score of 162 on Mensa's IQ test and now sits firmly aside the likes of Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.

Having grown weary of her parents' insistence that she study more often, Kashmea decided to take a well-known international evaluation test known as Cattel III B and proved she has brains to burn!

Commenting on the publicity she has amassed since securing her coveted place among the world's best and brightest, Kashmea said: "It's overwhelming to be compared with the likes of Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein."

Humbled by the comparison, Kashmea insists she falls short, saying: "The comparison is implausible and I believe it would take loads of achievements for anyone like myself to be able to get into the league of such legends. Anyways, I am buzzing with excitement."

Kashmea, whose parents are both IT management consultants at Deutsche Bank in London, are understandably brimming with pride over their daughter's achievement.

Paying tribute to their little girl, they gushed: "We are ecstatic at Kashmea's Mensa achievement. Although we always believed she had the intellectual prowess, the acknowledgement is reassuring that she does possess the ability, the energy which if well channelled, can lead to something wonderful."

What an incredible achievement!
