It is well know that tech company Google treat their employees well, but it seems this gesture even includes those who don’t work there yet.

A man called Peter from Oklahoma had applied for a job with the internet giant, but, sadly, three days before he was to have a phone interview with them, his sister tragically passed away.

After hearing what had happened to Peter and his family, the company sent a handwritten letter to the grieving brother, saying “an email just didn’t suffice”.

They went on to write: “I hope you know we are sincerely sending our most comforting thoughts your way.”

Touched by their condolences, Peter then uploaded a picture of the card to imgur and Reddit, where it has since gone viral.

Peter, who was “truly touched by the gesture” was subsequently offered the position of Data Centre Facilities Technician, although he is currently reviewing his options for now.
