Six months after the untimely death of her eight-year-old son, a mother from Georgia has found a way to include her little boy in a significant family milestone.
Anna Bozman Thompson who watched her son, Lake, battle leukaemia for the last three years of his life, paid tribute to her brave little boy when she exchanged vows with her husband this month.
The mother-of-three enlisted the help of photographer, Brandy Angel, who created an image which will be cherished by the Bozman Thompson family forever.
Uploading the photograph to Facebook page - Prayers for Lake Bozman - created in honour of her little boy, Anna wrote: "This doesn't even begin to describe how amazing Brandy Hayes Angel actually is."
Anna expressed heartfelt gratitude to Brandy for helping her to include her son, who passed away on May 1st this year, in such a significant family moment.
"She has the biggest heart and she is changing the world one picture at a time. I feel so honoured to call her my friend," she wrote on a post which has touched the hearts of thousands.
Commenting on the image which shows a faint portrait of Lake blended with a current photo of his family, one member of the public wrote: "As I wipe away many tears I wish to tell you that Lake does live on and has changed my life and I know many more."
Echoing her fellow Facebook user's sentiments, another follower of the tribute page wrote: "I just saw this on my news feed. Absolutely beautiful. Im so glad you felt your son that day."
Reflecting on a day spent without her little boy, Anna admitted: "Although I felt his presence that day and I was actually happy, it was almost unbearable to take family pictures without him."
Admitting to suffering from anxiety and irritability prior to the photo shoot, Anna was relieved to see the images were exactly what she had been hoping for.
"They turned out beautiful and thanks to my amazing photographer she was able to get some special edits done. I needed this picture more than she or anyone could ever know."
