Anyone who has lost a child will know that those photos of happier times together are like gold dust, which is why we are hoping for a happy ending to Ashley Pfeifer’s story.

Kansas woman Ashley has appealed for the burglars who stole a camera containing the last photos of her precious daughter Faith, 5, will return the memory stick to her family.

Little Faith was born with spina bifida, and passed away suddenly, in her sleep, in January. Not only does the camera contain photos of Faith’s final Christmas, but also intimate family photos captured just after Faith’s passing.

I was not going to share this on Facebook but I have more of a chance of getting back something precious to me if word...

Ashley told local media that she was ‘so glad’ to have those final photos of Faith with her nine-year-old brother and seven-year-old sister, which is why she was so devastated to learn that burglars had robbed the camera along with the family’s TV, video camera and Xbox.

In an urgent Facebook plea, Ashley wrote: “I am just thinking that maybe someone would buy the camera off Craigslist or a pawn shop and maybe see the memory stick in there is ours. Keep the camera – I just want my pictures back that are NOT replaceable.”

With Ashley’s post now doing the rounds on Facebook, we’re hoping that whoever has the camera will do the right thing.
