Horror as 12-year-old boy is stabbed in shocking gang-related attack

According to emerging police reports, a 12-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital following an attack in north London.

It is understood the pre-teen was stabbed eight times in the chest in a gang-related assault on Tuesday night.

The incident, which occurred near a block of flats in the Hoxton area, is believed to be linked to an earlier incident which took place in Gorusch Street.

Officials have asserted that the latter incident, which involved a 19-year-old man who sustained stab wounds to his leg and hand, is connected to the shocking incident involving the 12-year-old boy.

Unfortunately the Hoxton area was the scene of another fatal attack in recent years which saw the death of 16-year-old Agnes Sina-Inakoju.

The teenage girl, who was shot in the neck after becoming caught up in a gang feud in 2010, was the victim of a revenge attack.

Her killers were sentenced to a 32-month minimum jail term in  April 2011.
