You asked

I have worn glasses for years and want to try contact lenses, will I be able to wear them?

Contact lenses are available for a wider range of prescriptions than ever before, which means that more and more people can wear them. Most people adjust to wearing contact lenses quite quickly and after a few days you may not even notice you are wearing them.

Your optician will be able to examine your eyes and will determine if you are a suitable candidate for contact lenses. She will also be able to advise you what contact lenses will suit your specific needs. You will also have the opportunity to try contact lenses before you purchase them, as part of your contact lens consultation.
