No doubt you have heard about the terrible tragedy that played out at the Dreamworld Theme Park yesterday, and the four precious lives that were lost.
In the wake of the accident at the Queensland amusement park, authorities have hailed two children’s survival as ‘almost a miracle’.
The children – a boy and girl, aged 10 and 12 – are lucky to be alive, apparently, after being thrown from the ‘flume’ they were riding on, on the Thunder River Rapids ride.

The kids are said to be in deep shock over the accident, and are now being cared for by relatives.
Riding in that same flume were Kate Goodchild and brother Luke Dorsett, friend Cindy Low, and Luke’s partner Roozbeh Araghi. Tragically, all four adults died in the accident.
According to authorities, the accident occurred when the flume they were travelling on came in contact with another stationary vessel. This caused the flume carrying the six passengers to flip, trapping and fatally injuring the four adults on board.

Dreamworld’s CEO, Craig Davidson, issued a statement insisting that the affected families are now taking priority.
“At this stage, the park is close and Dreamworld is working closely with police and emergency services to establish the facts around the incident. We are deeply shocked and saddened by this, and our hearts and our thoughts go to the families involved and to their loved ones,” he said.
We’re thinking of all those affected by this tragedy.
