She previously opened up about her health struggles during her second pregnancy, and reality star Chanelle Hayes has admitted that she is feeling ‘absolutely miserable’ ahead of welcoming her second child.

The former Big Brother star, who is already mum to six-year-old son Blakely, got candid as she discussed her second pregnancy on ITV’s This Morning, today.

“I’m so grateful I could have a baby, but it’s just a miserable, miserable time; and I think there’s so much talk about postnatal depression, but it can also make you feel really bad when you’re pregnant as well,” she said.

Chanelle previously revealed that she has been suffering terribly with hyperemesis gravidarum. The condition, also experienced by the Duchess of Cambridge, has left Chanelle vomiting ’40 times a day’ and ‘on the verge of depression’.

The 29-year-old also admitted that she is already looking forward to getting in shape after the safe arrival of her second child, with aims of getting down to a size 10.

“You just feel massive and huge, and I felt big anyway beforehand,” she said, of pregnancy.

We are sure that many mums-to-be out there can relate to Chanelle’s latest comments.

The reality star, who is expecting with boyfriend Ryan Oates, has been very candid about her pregnancy experience over on Instagram. Recently, she lamented the appearance of stretch marks – an issue she didn’t face with her first pregnancy.

Posting a photo of her stretch marks to Instagram, she appealed to her fans for help: “Not amused with this new discovery. Never got these with Blakes… Although I am about 15 stone heavier now! Stretch mark tips, anyone?”

The response to Chanelle’s appeal was heartening; followers took to the comment section of the post to share not only their own tips but also words of encouragement for the mum-to-be.

“Wouldn’t worry about them,” wrote one fellow mum. “I’m proper proud of my tiger stripes.”

Another chimed in: “I just learned to leave them. Think of them as signs that your baby’s growing and your body’s doing well. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.”

This is why we always refer to motherhood as a ‘community of mums’ – there’s always someone there to offer a word of encouragement and support.

We hope Chanelle feels better soon – we’re sure there are plenty of other mums out there who are going through what she is.
