As she reflected back on the podcast, Kate shared a pregnancy update in the caption of the post.

She wrote, “Today is my last mini episode before my maternity leave. Just a little update of where I’m at in preparation for baby girls arrival & a look back at the series”.

“Wow, it’s been a long series and I’ve met so many amazing people along the way”.

“For a really long time I wanted to start this but just didn’t have the confidence. It’s only sometimes when you take a minute to reflect you can see how far you have come”.

The podcast host kindly added, “Thank you for all of your continued support, it really does mean the world to me! Now time to rest & reset for baby”.

Kate and Rio created the podcast to open conversations about blended families and many fans took to the comments to wish Kate well on her maternity leave and thank her for creating the series.

One fan wrote, “Thankyou for making a difference to blended families like mine. Enjoy your time with your family and new precious baby x”.

A third added, “Well done, you are really special. Lovely lady. Good luck with the beautiful baby girl”.

Kate and Rio announced they were expecting their baby girl back in January after they tragically suffered a miscarriage the previous summer.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, are proud parents to two-year-old Cree. Rio also has 16-year-old Lorenz, 14-year-old Tate and 12-year-old Tia from his previous relationship with his late wife Rebecca Ellison.
