Big-hearted little boy Dylan Siegal has shown everyone exactly what the power of friendship can achieve.

Dylan's friend Jonah has Glycogen Storage Disease Type 1b, a rare liver disease that cause sufferers to experience extremely low blood sugar levels.

Only 500 children in the world suffer from it and unfortunately there is no cure, yet. Scientists are optimist that a cure is near to being reached so to help raise funds for research, Dylan wrote a book, The Chocolate Bar. In it, the youngster describes his friendship with Jonah as “awesome as a chocolate”.

The book has helped to raise over $600,000 with every cent going to Dr. David Weinstein’s lab in Florida. Talking to KGO-TV, Dr. Weinstein said: "It is now reality. It's not just a dream that these children can be cured,"

The little boy is pretty certain a cure is possible and when asked by the ABC affiliate where he and Jonah will be in ten years time, he replied: "Um, high school and probably [Jonah's] disease would be cured."

When Jonah was asked the same question, he said: “Friends”.
