You can leave your sunglasses packed away for another week as the bad weather is set to worsen.

 

Met Éireann has issued numerous weather warnings for this week.

 

They stated that the country will experience temperatures as low as -4C tonight.

 

 

A status yellow low-temperature warning will remain in place until 9 am on Thursday morning.

 

As well as the freezing temperatures, heavy rainfall has been forecasted.

 

It is understood that some counties will experience 30-50 mm of rain between Thursday, April 5 and Friday, April 6.
 

 

Met Éireann warned, “In the twenty-four hour period from Thursday afternoon to Friday afternoon, there will be between 30 and 55 mm of rain in many areas with a risk of flooding.”

 

A status yellow rainfall warning has been issued for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.
