Any kind of major achievement is worthy of applause, but after reading this latest report, we are throwing our hands up in a high-five to this mum.

A British woman has made headlines around the world after completing a marathon in record-breaking time – all while pushing her seven-month-old son in his buggy.

Jessica Bruce completed the 26.2 mile-long Abingdon Marathon in 3:17:52, and although the result is pending Guinness World Record verification, it has been hailed as the new record for the fastest female to push a stroller during a marathon.

Jessica began training for the marathon just four months after welcoming Daniel, who is her first child. She was accompanied along the route by her husband David, who is reported to have sung to little Daniel and even given him a bottle near mile 21!

Speaking after the win, Jessica told Runner’s World: “I am just quite amazed we managed to do it in that time. Nothing went wrong, and I was so encouraged by the support along the way.”

What an amazing achievement. Well done to Jessica – we bet little Daniel is very proud of his mum!
