Jordan Kennedy, from Scotland, recently sat down to watch Channel Four's 'One Born Every Minute' and was clearly affected by the portrayal of childbirth.

The mum took to Facebook having watched the show, and wrote a post that has since been liked over 20,000 times and received more than 11,000 shares.

The post is an honest, and graphic, description of what childbirth is really like, and we couldn't help but nod while reading it.

Describing labour as "one of the most ugly things ever" the young mum went on to paint a picture that all mums will recognise.

"You try so hard to keep your dignity so your man will still want you despite what's about to happen.

"Then it's time tae push and God forbid you eat anything in the last 8 hours. Out pops a giant head and your a**e feels like it's been set alight before the shoulders finish you off."

"But trying to keep your thoughts away from the fact you just s*** the bed. You just take the next available pain relief to block out the embarrassment."

"Just as you relax and take a moment to yourself, some dodgy wee midwife that's not slept in 35 hour tries to set about your vagina with a needle and thread."

But the baby will be adorable at least, right? Or as Jordan put it: "let's just all pretend he's not blue got a big cone head."

Yep, we can definitely see why it's described as "magical."

What do you think, mums? Did Jordan hit the nail on the head?
