There have been some alarming reports around of late, documenting the heartbreak caused by passive-aggressive notes left on vehicles, and this story is bound to get under your skin.

A mum has condemned the person who left a hate-filled note on her family’s car, accusing her husband of being ‘fat’ rather than having a disability.

Kionna Montazari-Stribel’s husband, Dusty, was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy as a child and, after fighting against the illness for years, he became wheelchair bound in 2013.

Dusty, Kionna and their eight-year-old daughter recently went for a meal in Oklahoma, and naturally, they parked their vehicle in a disability space to ensure easier access.

When they returned to their car, however, they were met with a nasty note, reading: “Disabled? No. Just your big fat a**es.”

Hurt and offended, Kionna took to Facebook to address the rude person who left the note and condemn their ‘attempt to shame her family’.

Responding to her daughter’s confusion over why a total stranger would post such a hurtful note, Kionna wrote: “We explained to her that some people just have hate in their hearts. We further explained how your actions can deeply affect others around you, and how she should always be conscious of others’ feelings.”

Giving an insight into her husband’s ordeal, she added: “They didn’t know that even though his doctors advised him to go into a wheelchair years ago, he refused, and instead, remained on his own two feet until he finally fell for the last time, blowing out both knees and breaking an ankle. They didn’t understand that we’ve spent the last two years learning to adjust to a life in which he can’t even stand up to get in and out of a car...They have no idea that he already lives in constant pain, and that their hurtful words would only add to that.”

She went on to thank the stranger in question for giving her the perfect opportunity to teach her daughter a lesson in ignorance.

Needless to say, Kionna’s post has gone viral and touched hearts all over the world. We bet that stranger is feeling pretty low right now.
