Is there anything more uplifting than the utter joy of a child? We think not, and the following video proves this in the most wonderful way.

Blair Pifer is mum to a son and a daughter. While she wanted to expand her brood even further, she was recently dealt a devastating blow.

According to her post on Love What Matters, Blair was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) last year. She was then told that she would likely not have any more children – at least, not without undergoing fertility treatment.

“I had tried for three years and, after hearing this news, I realised I was done,” she wrote.

“I have an 11-year-old and a 13-year-old now, and came to the acceptance that they were going to be it for me.”

And this was true; Blair did accept that she would not be having another child – that is, at least, until seven months later when she got the happiest surprise of her life!

“SURPRISE! I’m pregnant!” she wrote, sharing a gorgeous video of the moment when she made the big reveal to her children.

In the video, Blair is seen presenting her kids with a large box emblazoned with the words ‘Never stop exploring’. The excited siblings tear away the tape and open it up to find a sign announcing the news that they are getting a baby brother or sister!

As gorgeous as the baby reveal is in itself, there’s another reason why Blair chose to share it with the world: she wants others who have just received a similar diagnosis to take comfort and inspiration from her own story.

“This is for all the women who have been, or are discouraged. Don’t give up!” she wrote.

Blair’s post has garnered plenty of love online, with others sharing their own messages of encouragement.

“It really annoys me that doctors tell people they can’t have kids with PCOS. I have three with it, and I know many others who have. It’s totally possible. Doctors should know life has its own way of working out,” wrote one fan of the page.

“Mine are 12 and 10, and we have been trying for three years to conceive a third. I have one ovary left after ovarian cancer. We are currently saving up for IVF. You give me hope,” another added.

We have no doubt that Blair’s post will help a lot more women struggling to conceive right now.
