In an age where fashion bloggers rule social media, the stars and models of micro-blogging sites such as Instagram and Twitter are becoming younger and younger.

One such mini-star is Freya, the daughter of Kirsty Whelan, who has had much success with her fashion line and Instagram account, ‘Forget Me Not Frey Frey’.

It’s adorable eight-month-old Freya who is the star of Kirsty’s popular Instagram account – which boasts over 11,000 followers – and the tot is frequently pictured modelling pieces designed by her mother and sent to her by other companies.

While Freya and Kirsty’s followers clearly love the artfully-presented Instagram photos, a recent piece of coverage documenting their success has garnered a lot of negativity and criticism.

After an article appeared online, on a major news website, social media users have been flocking to the site's pages to call Kirsty out for exposing her daughter to the dangers of online trolls.

While some branded Kirsty’s accounts ‘creepy’, others criticised the mother for depriving little Freya of ‘a normal childhood’.

“Creepy to have 6,000 people looking at your child…paedophiles gotta be in there somewhere [sic],” wrote one concerned Facebook user.

Meanwhile, another wrote: “Most stylish eight-month-old? I didn’t know that’s the most important [thing] for an eight-month-old. Scary.”

Kirsty's Instagram page is currently unavailable, but above are some of her photos of Freya. What are your thoughts?
