McDonald's certainly know how to put the 'fun' into family with their recent Family Fun Day! And they couldn't have timed it better as I had two restless children looking for some excitement during their mid-term break from school.
James and Ben were very excited with the arch of balloons that greeted us at the entrance to the McDonald's restaurant in Carrickmines, Dublin. They certainly weren't disappointed as the place was simply buzzing with families enjoying the food and activities on offer. First things first though, we proceeded to the menu ordering station so that we could place our food order for the two hungry little boys (and mummy) before engaging in the fun activities.
The boys were dying to try the new Crispy Chicken Wrap Happy Meal so we ordered two of them, while mum stuck to the same theme with a Grilled Chicken Chilli Wrap. It was the special of the day and only €2.90. I opted to add fruit to the boys Happy Meals for only 50 cent and then we went to a booth to enjoy our food - what a treat!
The new Crispy Chicken Wraps were a huge success, the boys loved them and they were simply perfect for little hands! They munched through their meals in minutes, savouring every bite of their mid-term school holiday treat. Of course mum loved her wrap too and once we were fed we could get on and enjoy the party atmosphere.
Face painting was the boys’ first port of call, where within minutes they were transformed into a Tiger and Superman. Next stop some balloon modelling, where the boys received two swords and were fascinated to watch the expert hand movements of the talented balloon magician!
The McDonald's Family Fun Day was a huge success, so much so the boys want to know when they can go back!
