New father Pete Thomas certainly gave his son a noisy arrival!
Finding himself stuck in a traffic jam with his wife who was going into labour, Pete did what he had to do in order to get her to the hospital safely. He honked and flashed his lights, and his risky moves paid off.
The self-described producer and director tweeted on Sunday to thank his fellow drivers for their courtesy:
To everyone in the traffic jam on the A3 south of Guildford this morning who got out of the way of the crazy guy flashing his lights and honking his horn - Thank you so much. We made it. Just. Mother and baby are doing great.

We’re so happy it all turned out okay!
Pete later replied to another person’s tweet saying, “It was all ok...in the end. Becs did great. Little man (nine lbs nine oz so not that little) is loving the world!”
Nine pounds nine ounces?! She sure did do great!
People on Twitter showered the daredevil dad with congratulations.
“Wife always tells me to be more patient with people driving at speed, as they may be in an emergency. You just proved her point! Glad you're all doing well,” said one well-wisher.
Another tweeted, “Some good news for a change, glad that all went well, good on ya dad!”
“Love stories like this,” said one Twitter user, “No idea who you are but as someone who's done the labour journey too, many congratulations.”
