Wales made history at the weekend when they made it through to the semi-finals of this year’s Euros.

But it seems there has been a major dampener put on the celebrations as UEFA have asked the team to refrain from bringing their children onto the pitch.

After their success at the weekend, there were heartwarming pictures of the Welsh side celebrating with their kids.

The players were seen embracing their children as the youngsters got to join their daddies on the historic night.

However, UEFA is having none of it as tournament director, Martin Kallen said:

“It is a European Championship, not a family party.”

Calling it a health and safety issue, UEFA went on to say:

“A stadium is not the safest place for small kids if fans invaded the field, and with stadium staff operating machinery on the playing surface."

Welsh star, Gareth Bale was seen embracing his daughter Alba on the pitch and other members of the team were quick to follow taking their opportunity to share the moment with their little ones.

Our eyes will be glued to the telly next weekend – not for the football though.
