Calling all mums to be! You have spent the past several months eagerly awaiting your new arrival. You have stocked up on all the baby gear you will need, decorated the nursery, and figured out how to properly install your infant car seat. Now it is time for the all-important hospital bag, and do not leave it to the last minute.
As most babies haven’t mastered timekeeping (yet), it is best to pack your bags around the 30-week mark, just to be safe. The last thing you want is to go into labour and be worrying about what you need to bring with you.
Wondering where to start? We know, it is a minefield! While you do not want to leave out any essentials, there’s also no reason to overdo things. Thankfully, NUK has created a no-nonsense checklist to ensure you have everything you and baby need.
On average, you and your baby will stay in hospital for one to two days following the birth, however, if you deliver via c-section, you may need to stay a little bit longer – so keep your length of stay in mind as you select what to pack.
Ask your hospital what they provide for and take those things off your list. Otherwise, use the following hospital bag checklist ahead of your new arrival.
NUK pride themselves on developing products informed by experts and nature that meet the needs of parents and babies alike. With that in mind, below are a few of the must have products they advise including your hospital bag:
