We reported earlier about a child who was left in a car for 40 minutes in 30C heat while the owner went shopping.

Well, unfortunately this is not the only story of this happening yesterday.

On the hottest day of the year so far, a child in Wales was left alone on a minibus outside a Ceredigion nursery.

The child was on the bus outside Camau Bach in Aberystwyth for over two hours while staff were completely unaware.

Weather reports say that temperatures in that area yesterday were the second highest in Wales at 31.9C.

The nursery has since closed for a week while an investigation takes place.

Posting on their Facebook page, Camau Bach have said they are closed for “in house training and maintenance”.

The full post read:

"Following an incident today (Tuesday) Mudiad Meithrin have decided to close the nursery for a week until Thursday 28th of July so that in house training and maintenance can take place.

"Sorry for any inconvenience."

Parents were initially angered by the short notice of the nursery closing but as news was released as to why, families were shocked at the news.

It is also being reported that the member of staff responsible for the child in question has been suspended.
