Parents in Florida, US have been hiring a creepy clown in a bid to scare their children into behaving themselves.
Wrinkles the Clown, ‘played’ by a 65-year-old military veteran, looks like something out of your worst nightmare, with his saggy face, black eyes and downward frown.
Having launched a service allowing parents to hire him for a flat fee, Wrinkles has been making quite a reputation for himself – and he has become very popular with parents around the state who want to teach their kids a lesson.
Wrinkles himself has this week shared a story of how he was hired by one concerned mum who wanted to reform her naughty 12-year-old.
“He was scared of clowns and I showed up across the street from him at the bus stop and he just started crying in front of his friends and ran home. His mother called back a few days later and said, ‘Thank you!’ Now when he acts bad, she just has to ask him: ‘Do you want Wrinkles to come back?’” he explained.
Needless to say, Wrinkles’ service has split opinion, and while some parents think it’s a clever tactic, others believe that this is taking things way too far.
