We look forward to our days off so much that we spend all week planning every intricate detail and, for us, there is no better guilty pleasure than a good session of retail therapy.

For those of you who share our persuasion, you will be delighted to hear that, to many, shopping is actually right up there with a tough workout!

Indeed, according to new research conducted by gift card company One4All, one in three Irish adults actually consider shopping to be a form of exercise.

The research was released this week to coincide with the Shop4Crumlin campaign, in support of CMRF Crumlin; the main fundraising body for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

As part of the campaign, for every transaction made using a One4All gift card - until Sunday, 14th August – the Happy Gifting Company will donate 50c to the CMRF Crumlin’s ‘Giggle Fund’.

It seems those polled consider shopping to be serious business, with almost half (54%) describing a day of retail therapy to be more tiring than a gym session!

When the rarity of a day spent shopping alone comes along, we can totally agree!
