Losing anything small around a little one is enough to give you premature wrinkles with the worry, and one couple’s greatest fears materialised recently when they lost one of their wedding rings.
Reddit user ‘Iamclarkgriswold’ took to the social networking site to recount the recent traumatising ordeal of what happened when his wife’s precious ring went missing. After a top-to-bottom search of the house, they took their infant son to the hospital for an x-ray, just to be sure – and what they discovered was more than a little shocking.
Yes, as you can pretty much guess by now, the tot had actually devoured the ring and, as the striking x-ray shows, it became firmly lodged in his stomach awaiting the next step of the digestive process.
I need to get this baby insured.
“My wife couldn’t find her wedding ring yesterday. Our baby will be a diamond mule for the next couple weeks. I need to get this baby insured,” he wrote.
It was a matter of hours however - 10 to be exact – when the ring made another appearance, this time in the baby’s nappy.
Unfortunately for Mum and Dad, they had to dig through the nappy to actually retrieve the ring – and they proceeded to share photographic evidence of the nasty process online. Don’t worry though, we’re not going to inflict those images upon you – you probably already have a pretty graphic image in your head!
Well, thank heavens that little baby was okay.
