While most kids will have toys and gadgets on their Santa lists this year, some children are looking for something that money simply cannot buy: a loving family.

This was the case for three young Oregon children who were being fostered by Sarah and Michael Perks. In an incredible and heartwarming surprise, the little ones found their official adoption papers under their Christmas tree.

While the video was initially recorded last year, it has only gone viral this week, after Facebook asked the family for permission to share it.

After receiving the papers two days before Christmas, dad Michael told Today that it was the perfect timing for their little ones.

“We thought, what better gift could you get than a forever family? That’s why we put the adoption papers under the tree, a kind of symbolism,” he said.

As you can imagine, the footage is incredibly emotional, with one of the kids getting off the couch and embracing his parents after opening the present box. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

This is nothing short of beautiful – you need to check it out below.
