With the upcoming 50th anniversary of CMRF Crumlin, the principal fundraising body for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and the National Children’s Research Centre, it follows that a very special celebration is in order.

It seems we will be witnessing just that, as ambassador and mum Pippa O’Connor launched the celebrations today, with the announcement that the milestone anniversary will be marked with an extra special ‘Gold’-themed fundraising Ball.

The CMRF Crumlin Gold Ball is set to take place on Saturday, March 14 at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel on Upper Leeson Street, and will raise much-needed funds for facilities and equipment at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

As well as raising money for urgent capital projects, funds raised from the event will also go towards carrying out ground-breaking and essential research to help the hospital offer the best chance of recovery to its patients.

Pippa O’Connor, who was helped out today by junior CMRF Crumlin Ambassadors Alicja and Marek Doyle, said: “The Gold Ball is a celebration of the dedication and commitment of the organisation to ensuring that children have the very best paediatric care available. I’m so proud to be an ambassador for this invaluable charity event and I wish them well for the next 50 years of fundraising!’’
