Last year, the discussion around whether or not you should give up your seat on public transport for a pregnant woman hit fever pitch.

With surveys revealing that an disgracefully high number of people would choose not to, it seems some entrepreneurs out there decided to do something to make life a little easier for mums-to-be.

Introducing the latest travel assistance app - ‘Babee on Board’.

This app works in two ways.

If you are a commuter who would be willing to give up your seat, you can select that option which will then send a notification to any pregnant women who may be getting on who will need one.

And if you are the mum-to-be then you can request a seat on whatever form of public transport you’re hopping onto.

The app was created by London based creative agency, 10X and currently is only available on iOS in London.

However, the company are currently busy working on plans to roll the app out to a wider audience.
